Waking Up
Here goes–
a poem from out of the blue,
not soaked in tears
but born while lying in bed
when the birds started singing.
Katie Good began writing poetry after her husband of 41 years died in 2024.
She later began a Substack as a way to share her poems with friends and family. She continues to write about grief and other subjects at Still Here: A Grief Journal in Poetry.
